We had the opportunity to sit down with the founders of Crypto Jewelry, an LA-based firm that is launching a line of crypto-branded jewelry, starting with a bitcoin-centric collection. The founders want to bring the power of blockchain to the world, and show that just because it remains digital, bitcoin gives users the ability to shine in the real world as well.
Tell us a little about Crypto Jewelry. Where did the idea come from?
The concept behind Crypto Jewelry is to combine jewelry and blockchain together. All our products have trademarks and rights of property. Our team unites like-minded individuals and successful people. Success of our common business directly depends on each of us. Our first collection, "The Power of Bitcoin" for men and women, consists of elegant jewelry, a jewelry case for Trezor and a gift gold coin with the Bitcoin symbol. Each product is presented in three kinds of gold (white, pink and yellow) and in two colors of diamonds (classical white and rare black).
Every year Crypto Jewelry plans to release a new collection devoted to a new strong cryptocurrency. Meanwhile, together with large French perfume factories, we create a unique fragrance of the Crypto Jewelry with the exciting scent of great opportunities. All our production is based in Los Angeles, in collaboration with the famous American jeweler Peter Marco. Each jewel represents a unique handmade product, which executes the innovative and challenging ideas of talented designers and a spirit of great success.
Our company’s office and the showroom are located in the Golden Triangle of Beverly Hills on one of the most expensive and luxurious streets in the world: Rodeo Drive.
Take us through the ordering process for your jewels.
Users can find our collections directly online at ecryptojewelry.com. The client chooses his or her product(s), makes payment (credit cards, PayPal and Bitcoin are accepted). The customer receives the jewel within two weeks. Shipping is carried out by FedEx. Shipping and insurance costs are at our expense.
When we receive an order, our clients describe in detail what they expect for their jewelry to our manager. In 3 to 5 days, our designers give each client several design choices, from which one is selected. With the final approval in hand, the piece then goes into production, packaging, and is then sent directly to the client. On average, the process takes about 30 days.
Crypto Jewelry works also with corporate clients from the blockchain area. We are currently working on stylish male brooches that can be ordered in large batches.
In which markets have you noticed the greatest demand for crypto jewelry?
Currently, we’ve had success in Asia, and in some Western countries. We’ve established a presence in countries like China, South Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. In the west we’ve been marketing heavily in the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, and Switzerland. We’ve also been lucky to have great responses in places like Australia and the UAE.
Where did the original inspiration for Crypto Jewelry come from? How did you get started?
At the beginning of 2017 my husband, Nikolay Evdokimov, asked me to buy him a ring with a Bitcoin symbol. I spent a lot of time searching for it, but I did not get any results. There was nothing similar in the market. Therefore, I decided to make him a ring and a pendant with a Bitcoin symbol myself. Within three weeks, I gave him a present he dreamed of, and he was very pleased. My husband is a businessman in the blockchain and ICO areas. After several international conferences, his partners and colleagues were interested in where it was possible to get similar unusual accessories.
After that, one idea came to my mind. I can unite those business people and create the best-in-the-world product for them! We focus on modern people who participate in creation of the new world. Our jewelry personifies a spirit of new reality, uniting people in a tight-knit community! Crypto Jewelry products will become the distinctive sign of this privileged club for elite and successful people.
So, that’s how we started. I have 18 years of business experience, nine of which were also spent in the IT sphere. Therefore, I understand very well the market’s requirements. I am able to offer its participants the fact that this is necessary for them.
How are you planning on expanding your line? Do you have new products on the horizon?
We already have several great plans ready to go. First, we want to have an annual release of a new collection that highlights a different cryptocurrency. Second, we’re planning to expand our product range to include different products and precious metals, such as jewelry clips for money, tie clips, brooches, and new cases for our Trezor holders. Finally, we’re planning on launching a perfume brand that will release a yearly update in both design and scent.
How is the response to your idea so far?
The reaction is amazing! For half a year, we’ve had potential partners lining up to put large investments into the project. Even so, we remain committed to taking off without external help. Our clients cannot wait for the beginning of sales. The collection is rather extensive, and every month we will put a new product on the market. We will start with male rings and a gold coin, then female rings and a Trezor case. After that, we will issue pendants, bracelets and women's earrings. To end the first cycle, we’ll launch the flagman collection, including ten completely exclusive rings (five for men and five for women).
What are your future plans for the company?
Crypto Jewelry will develop in all directions. We work for people, and the most important thing is to consider the wishes and demands of our clients. Our main goal and biggest key to success in our company is to make sure our clients are completely satisfied with our products.
Are you sticking with Bitcoin, or will you add more cryptos to your collection?
As I’ve mentioned, we’re planning to annually launch a new line that highlights a new cryptocurrency. Obviously, this depends on the growth and stability of new currencies in the market.
When can we expect to start seeing your collections become available?
Very soon! We open our sales in April, and are expecting to expand our product line every month. We are also ready for corporate orders at any time.
